Centennial Park, Taupo, is the venue for the Rothmans provincial polo championships on Sunday. Most of the top players and ponies in the country will appear and the afternoon should produce a thrilling clash. The main fixture will be between Central and Northern districts which, with South Island, comprise the polo playing affiliations of New Zealand. A number of national representatives, at least three of them recently returned from international play in Washingv- ton D.C., are among the fourman teams. Northern Districts beat Central Districts by one goal in last year's match. The teams are: North: J. McGinlay (Taupiri), G. Broughton (Waimai), J. Watson (Cambridge), J. Walker (Morrinsville). Central: M. B ellerby (Wanstead), J. McKelvie (Rangitikei), M. Small (Hawke's Bay, captain), B. W. .McKenzie (Hawke's Bay). Reserve, D. Kirkpatrick (Poverty Bay). The junior teams to compete in the curtain-raiser are: North: B. Kelly (Cambridge), B. Davidson (T aupiri), B. Sherwin (Kihikihi), J.
Taylor (Tangiteroria). ' Central: D. Nelson (captain), P. Thompson (Hawke's Bay), I. McKelvie (Rangitikei), G. Kemp (Poverty Bay). Play commences at 1 p.m.
