The chairman of the Taupo County Council, Mr H. M Besley, turns on the water supply for the Acacia Bay area in a brief ceremony last Wednesday. Mr Besley paid tribute to the work carried out by the engineers and contractors in having the water supply ready for the Christ-mas-New Year season, and thanked Mr D. Ewing for donating the land on which the reservoir is sited. The water supply project cost the council $68,000.
