Little damage
A freak whirlwind caused * holidaymakers, particularly campers a few minutes of concern on Saturday. It hit in the Waitahanui' area, knocked over a smokehouse, created clouds of dust and had campers holding-f down guy ropes on tents and caravan awnings. Apart from the smokehouse little damage was reported.
