After trout? Our latest fishing report indicates that you will achieve best results by harling in the early mornings, and at night deep trolling and fly fishing at the stream mouths is best. Lake Rotorua generally has been difficult for anglers but there has been some success at the Hamurana and Waitete stream mouths. The remainder of Rotorua lakes are described as "hard."
