EXHIBITION GOLF AT TAUPO ON JANUARY 3
New Zealand's two leading tournament professionals, Bob Charles and John Lister, will play an exhibition match at the Taupo Golf Club on Sunday, January 3. The match will be sponsored by Gollin & Co. (N.Z.) Ltd, dis-
tributors of Spalding products. The two players will arrive in Taupo at about midday after competing in the Spalding Masters tournament which will end at Tauranga the previous day. It is expected that the two players will practise for a short time before teeing-off at 1.30 p.m. Charles and Lister will leave Taupo immediately after the match for tournaments at Te Puke and Mt Maunganui the following week. It will be Charles' third appearance at Taupo. He first played the course about eight years ago for a round of 67 against Ross Newdick; two years ago he scored 41, 31 — 72 to finish all square with local professional, J. A. Clelland. Lister will be making his first appearance at Taupo.
