LIFT BY HELICOPTER

After an earlier attempt to lift a 4001b airconditioning unit onto the roof of a Taupo bank by helicopter had proved unsuccessful because of high winds, the task was ~ completed early on Saturday morning. The helicopter completed the operation in about 10 * minutes — considerably less time than it would have taken by a conventional crane. Permission for the helicopter to operate in the township was given by the Civil Aviation Department.
