Tudors chase N.I. titles

Taupo will be represented by its marching club, Tudors, in the North Island championships at Hamilton in February, and by the junior team at the national championships at Nelson in March. The junior and midget teams performed splendidly at the Bay of Plenty titles at Rotorua last weekend, notching several placings and winning places in the provincial line-up for the North Island championships. The juniors were placed second overall after taking first in the march past, first leader, second march plan second display, second fall in and inspection and third in uniform pointing. The midgets, third overall, were third in the march plan, third in the march past, third leader, second display, second fall in and inspection and first equal in uniform. The girls will rest over the Christmas period before resuming competitive marching on January 24.
