MORE FROM AGRICULTURE EXPORTS
Britain expects to earn thirty million pounds more from agricultural exports this year than in 1969 - which was itself a record year. The Agricultural Export Council said last month that saies of machinery in the first six months of this year exceeded one hundred and nine million pounds compared with a total for the whole of last year of two hundrea and eight million pounds. Farm produce and products exported in the first halfyear were worth more than fifty million pounds, while saies of chemicals and animal feeds amounted to some twenty-five million pounds. Fees earned in other countries by consultants in agriculture, irrigation and rural developments during 1969 have been assessed at a record seven million pounds and a similar amount is estimated for this year.
