DISASTER RELIEF HUTS

Sixteen disaster relief huts are being sent to Pakistan by the New Zealand Red Cross. The society acknowledges with gratitude the donations received from all over the country which together with the $5000 already forwarded total almost $16,000. In Pakistan 430 Red Cross personnel are working in the worst hit southern area including Bahola Island. Fifty tons of food are being distributed daily shortly increasing to 75 tons. All victims will have been reached and given assistance by midDecember when the third phase begins.
