Two Australian Red Cross Visitors Here
Two Australian Red Cross V.A.D. representatives were in Taupo on the weekend as guests of the Taupo branch of the N.Z. Red Cross. They were Mesdames J. King, Darwin, and L. Nissen, Melbourne. They had attended a V.A.D. convention in Wellington and subsequently spent some time visiting Red Cross centres and subcentres throughout New Zealand. The Taupo Red Cross committee entertained the visitors at luncheon at the home of Mr and Mrs A. H. Hope, "Otoma," yesterday, at which the St. John Ambulanee nursing division was represented by Mesdames A. G. Booth, M. James and A. Steen. Later the visitors were taken on a tour of Wairakei, Huka Falls and Aratiatia. They were taken to Rotorua by a Red Cross vehicle yesterday morning.
