Study Of Cont In America The control of fish by electricity has been the subject of a nine-week study visit to the U.S.A. by Mr P. J. Burstall, assistant conservator of wildlife, Department of Internal Affairs, Rotorua. Specifically, he has been studying methods of using electricity to guide or repel fish, to aid the protection of fisheries on the Tongariro River and at Lake Taupo from hazards associated with hydro-electric development. He has described the method as being full of technical difficulties. It was not as easy as had first appeared. "We've got to do something at Tongariro," Mr Burstall said.
