Taupo Aero Club's Air Pagaent

The Taupo Aero Club is to hold an air pageant at the Taupo airport on January 8, 1966. A full day's programme is to be arranged with a variety of attractions for all interested people. The aero club flying instructor, Mr P. Matich, who is doing the organising, hopes there will be a wide variety of pjanes on display. These may include gliders, helicopters, top-dressing planes, and the newest of light planes. An air race will be held, which should attract many flying enthusiasts. Scenie flights will also show the sights of Taupo from the air. Other plans for the day are as yet unconfirmed.
