Two Reached Semi-Finals
Taupo golfers, G. F. Fearn and Pat Watson, reached the semi-finals of the South Auckland open amateur match-play championship before being eliminated during the weekend. Each had two wins before Watson was beaten by the eventual winner, K. Stevens, and Fearn lost to K. Haggie.
