No Intention Of Building
Cool Store
The manager of Aotearoa Meats Ltd., Mr D. P. H. Barker, has notified the Taupo Borough Council that it is not the company's intention to establish a cool store in Taupo at the present time.
There was a distinct possibility, however, that they would erect one in Rotorua if the city were declared a meat inspected - area, he added. Mr Barker also indicated that the company expected to build a new abattoir in Cambridge in the dmmediate future and that they would slaughter for any butchers in Taupo who might be interested in using the facilities. He also pointed out that the company could slaughter for Taupo butchers at the present time.
