Listings CLOSE at Taupo Post Office on the 10th SEPTEMBER. 4/26 TAUPO RABBIT BOARD POISON NOTICE TAKE NOTICE that on the 2nd September, or as soon thereafter as is practicable, the Taupo Rabbit Board will apply deadly 1080 POISON from an aircraft over the following areas for the destruction of rabbits. TAHORAKURI BLOCK: This airdrop will cover approximately 500 acres of the Forest Products Tahorakuri Block and approximately 500 acres of the adjoining unoccupied Maori land. The areas concerned lie within Block IX Takapau Survey District, between the forestry and the Waikato River south of Kaimanawa Road. MAROA AREA: This airdrop will cover approximately 200 acres surrounding the old Maroa mill site and approximately 200 acres of the property of Mr W. D. Ballantyne, these areas- lying north of Maroa Road, together with a block of approximately 500 acres of undeveloped Maori land lying south of the Maroa Road and west of the main WairakeiTokoroa highway. A second section of approximately 500 acres of undeveloped Maori land lying east of the main highway and approximately half a mile south of the Maroa Road junction is also to be treated. These areas lie within Block XIV Te- Atiamuri Survey District and Block I Tatua Survey District. WHANGAMATA STATION: This airdrop will cover approximately 300 acres of Whangamata Station, situated within Block V Tuhingamata West Survey District between the Whangamata Stream and undeveloped land to the west.
