BOARD AND PTA TO MEET
A meeting between the Taupo - nui - a - Tia College Board of Governors and the Parent-Teachers' Association is to be arranged for the liear future. At its meeting on Tuesday night, the board agreed to send representatives to a P.T.A. meeting in October. The principal, Mr F. N. Tritt, said he felt the association would like to get to know the new board. It made one major money-rais-ing effort during the year and board members' co-oper-ation would be welcome. Mr J. C. Young,. said he felt it was a sound idea. Nothing but good could come of it and he felt the members should attend. Mr 'E. Christie proposed that the board as. a whple should attend. "The board should participate more in college activities," agreed Mr Young. Mr Christie and other members pointed out that those without children at college were not as elosely in touch with school activities as was desirable. and members asked the secretary if they could be kept informed on school affairs. The board accepted Mr Christie'g resolution.
