ASSOCIATE MEMBERS FOR CLUB

Taupo Yacht Club will allow a^sociate members to join the club. This was decided at the annual meeting of the club held last week. Introducing the motion, a club member, Mr R. Greenwell, said there was a need for associate membership to bring into the club parents of "P" class skippers and other supporters of the club who were not active competitors. Mr Greenwell said he had been approached by many interested supporters of the club who did not wish to be full members. The ciub's constitution is now altered to admit associate members, who must be nominated by two ordinary members. Associate members wrill be entitled to use the facilities of the club and enter in its activities, though they will not have the right to vote.
