A 300-ton topsail schooner named "Sir Winston Churchill," now being built for the Sail Training Association, is the first British schooner to be built specifically to train young people. Here it is seen taking shape at Dunstan's Yard, Hessle, England. The schooner, which is to be launched in November, is expected to make her maiden voyage in March. She has been built by public subscription, and will take 600 boys on two-week voyages during the year. Each voyage will take a crew of 40 youths, who will be taught how to handle the vessel.
