DIED AFTER ACCIDENT NEAR OPEPE

A Cook Islander died in the Rotorua Hospital on Saturday morning from injuries received when the car he was driving ran off the road two miles past Opepe Bush on the Taupo - Napier Road early on Friday evening. He was: — MOE UAKI TE AURIMA, 23, workman, of Hillcrest Camp, Tokoroa. His companion, another Cook Islander, Anga Tangiiataua, 22, also of Hillcrest Camp, received injuries to his left arm and shoulder and severe shock. After being attended by Dr K. N. Haldane, both the injured men were taken to Rotorua Hospital by St. John ambulance.
