Depot Land
With industrial land in Turangi valued at between £4000 and £5800 an acre, Taupo County Council is concerned over the future establishment of its depot in the town. At its meeting on Tuesday, the council heard the engineer, Mr G. Burton, say the council would ultimately need up to five acres. However, under the Turangi legislation, the council was entitled to enter into an agreement with the Crown and it was suggested provision should be made for the depot
