C.W.I. MEETS

turangi (OC) The July meeting of the Tongariro CWI was held at the Tokaanu Maori District High School. ./ The president wefcomed all members, including three new members, Miss Craig and Mesdames Sherwood and Neary. After the business, final arrangements were made for convening the district Braille Week. The guest speaker for the evening was the school dental nurse, who gave an informative talk to members. A short talk was also given by a member, Mrs B. Marshall, who is leaving on a trip across England and Europe. The mystery parcel was won by Mrs Purvis. Competition results were as follows: — Bloom: Mrs Mullins 1, Mrs Mutch 2. Cluster: Mrs Pearce 1, Mrs Mullins 2, Mrs Haddock 3.
