Both Finalists From Turangi
TURANGI (OC) The Tauranga-Taupo A grade basketball team returned to Turangi on Saturday winners of a competition held in Taumarunui with teams from Taumarunui district. Three local A grade teams participated and a B grade team, Kuratau primary, aceompanied the senior teams. Three rounds were played in the senior competition and both Tongariro and Tauranga-Taupo won all their games. In the final play-off between these two teams, Tauranga-Taupo beat the opposition to emerge winners for the day.
