MOST TEAMS IN GOOD FORM FOR LAST WEEK'S GAMES

College made a good start in the Taupo Indoor Basketball Association games last week when the team beat Bears 34 — 31. For College, M. Taute and S. Armstrong were outstanding and for Bears A. Hume top-scored with 18 points. Tauhara I were too strong for Beatles when they scored a 24-point win to give them a clear-cut win in the competition. St. John's ran all over 60/8 to beat them by a 35point margin. Teachers beat Huka by 22 points, mainly brought about by G. Furlong's personal score of 23 points. W. Blackbourne 22 points and P. Carlton 19 points paved the way for an easy Cvin for Demons over Tauhara II. Results were: —

College 34, Bears 31; Tau- 1 hara I 42, Beatles 18; St. John's 44, 60/8 9; Teachers 41, Huka 19; Demons 56, Tauhara II 10.
