LEECH TOPS STABLEFORD AT TAUPO
T. S. Leech, with a fine round of 69, -f-1, 70, won the A grade section of a medal competition at the Taupo Golf Club on Saturday. N. Stanley, playing off a 24 handicap, returned a nett 69 to win the B grade. The concurrent stableford event was won by Leech, 38 points (A grade) and Stanley, 39 points (B grade). No twos were carded. Sunday's stableford competition resulted in a win for L. A. Reid, 38 points, on a count-back from A. T. Foster. Twos were registered by. G. F. Barlow, Leech and Foster. Miss C. Scott was the winner of a ladies' stableford ; competition with 33 points.
