Picked For Semi-Finals

A Taupo-nui-a-Tia College pupil, Loretta Kawhe, has been chosen as the college representative in the New Zealand-wide Maori Oratory Contest, the semi-finals of which will be held at the Western Heights High School, Rotorua, on Thursday. Finals of the competition will be held in Wellington during the August school holidays. It is the object of the competition to foster public speaking among senior Maori pupils.
