REPLY TO LABOUR CRITICISM
Sir, — In reply to the letter by Mr B. S. Gustafson in your recent issue. On the day in question I had special leave from the House. The purpose of the leave was to enable me to fulfill a long-standing engagement to perform the official opening of the Waikato Winter Show as the representative of the Government.
