Horticultural Society
Taupo Horticultural and Beautlfying Society will hold its annual meetlng on July 21. Following the formal business, the guest speaker, Mr Cole will speak to members on roses. The purpose of the society is to stimulate interest in gardening and assist, in beautifying the town. Some of the help given in the past has been to advise the Taupo Borough Council in the purchase of plants and plant maintenance. There are about 180 members in the society, but more are required to extend the work in the town. In the past year the society has revised its show schedule and amended its awards.
