Initial Contract Exceeded Says MoW, Turangi

The estimated programme of 100 houses to be started at Turangi this year has already been considerably exceeded. Ministry of Works' sources in Turangi said today that most of the first contract for 100 houses have already been built. A further contract of 132 houses has already been started and yet another contract for 55 houses was let a fortnight ago. It is certain that further contracts will he let this year. No houses are to he moved from Mangakino. All housing at Turangi will he new.
