Petition On Corner

Since last week's fatal accident at the corner of Tauhara Road and the AC Baths Avenue, more than 300 Taupo residents have signed a petition urging the Taupo Borough Council to take action to reduce the accident risk at the corner. The petition was initiated by Mr and Mrs P. Potter, Tauhara Road, whose property was damaged in the accident. Local residents are apprehensive of further accidents at the corner, where Mr Potter said, there have already been several. The petition will be presented to the council later this week.
