MORE LAND FOR N.Z.B.C
! Taupo County Council has approved the acquisition by the N.Z. Broadcasting Corporation of a strip of land three chains wide between the Taupo radio station and the boundary of the proposed Wairakei-Taupo deviation highway, subject to the inclusion of a segregation strip. The land is required for housing. The resident engineer advised the council he was opposed to aceess being provided from the deviation.
