I.
The monthly meeting of the Tongariro C.W.I. wras held at the Tokaanu Maori District High School. The president, Mrs Pearce, opened the meeting and welcomed all members. A very interesting talk was given by one of the members, Mrs U. Walker, on her trip through Holland. Beautiful postcards of other countries she has visited were also made available for members to see. Competition results were: Bloom, Mrs Marshall 1, Mrs Mutch 2, Mrs Giil 3; cluster, Mrs Gill 1, Mrs Mutch 2; hot water bottle cover, Mrs Gill 1, Mrs Mutch 2, Mrs Pearce 3. All hot water bottle covers are to be donated, complete with hot water bottle, to an old people's home in Taumarunui.
