Not Satisfied With Service

Taupo Ratepayers' Association will ask the Post Office to supply a telephone booth for use by residents in the Heu Heu StreetMere Road and Huia Street area. This was decided at the annual meeting of the association, on Tuesday. Criticism was made by members of the telephone service in Taupo. This applied to what was described as the large number of party lines and the "glaring anomolies in the issuing of telephones to applicants" not the operators, though, the meetings emphasised. The executive committee will investigate the matter and suggest remedial action to the Postmaster.
