Discussion On Radio 1ZA

The Taupo branch of the Labour Party discussed at its monthly meeting the new Taupo radio station. While complimenting the N.Z.B.C. the branch felt that it was unfortunate that, far from improving the reception of the National programme, Station 2YA until now received clearly wras almost eliminated by interference from Taupo during the 6 to 9 a.m. session. The branch also suggest-j ed that more economical j use could be made of the1 station by extending the hours of local transmission to include evening broad-' casting, and that the national network should be relayed from the station at other times so as to improve radio reception in the Taupo area.
