Terraces Hotel Re-opened

After iiearly 18 months spent altering and redecoratlng the Terraces Hotel the door was opened to receive guests yesterday. The present work represents stage one in the replanning of the hotel which has included complete alteration of the iriterior, reconstruction of the public bar and wholesale store, laying out the grounds in
front of the hotel and the buiiding of one four-unit motel and one two-unit chalet. • Stages two and three will include buildings of more chalet units and motels, a camping ground with full facilities and the deyelopment of thermal pools in the grounds for the use of patrons. Manager of the ho'tel, Mr G. C. Kain, said bookings are already heavy, eyen though the opening date had not been extensiyely adyertised. He said bookings for Queen's Birthday weekend have been in great demand. The hotel opened with a staff of seven, but this number is expected to be increased in the near future.
