Power Supply
The maximum demand on the Taupo Borough Council's power system for April was 6110 kw. at 7.30 p.m. on Good Friday. The maximum demand from the State was 5160 kw. at. the same time. Units distributed during the month (five weeks) were 2,186,346; 792,186 units were generated at the Hinemaiaia Power Station; 1,394,280 units were purchased from the State. Only 120 units were sold to the State during the period.
