Will Attend Convention
The New Zealand Travel and Holiday Association convention, to be held in Auckland from June 18 to 21, will be attended by Cr J, Stanley who will represent the Tanpo Borough Council and the Tanpo branch of the association. Cr D. Davis said at the monthly meeting of the council that it would be advisable for someone from the council to attend the convention because there was the desire to advertise the town — specially now that the airport was about to open. Cr C. I. Jacoby suggested that the representative to the convention could ex:plain the policies of the council and emphasise that Taupo was going to be more tourist-minded in the future.
