NEW CRAFT ON LAKE

A water-borne go-kart made its debut on Lake Taupo on Sunday morning. It is an American designed hydro-kart, built in 'Taupo by brothers John and Roger Fulljames. The tiny craft is powered by a 12 h.p. chain-saw engine and the hull is of hydroplane design. It took three months of spare-time work to build and cost about £100. - Sunday's water trials were to test. the engine and two-biaded seven-inch propellor under load.
