ROAD LINK TO TE AWAMUTU
The Mangawhio Gorge bridge, the opening of which will give direct acoese between Mangakino and Kihikihi. is expected to be completed during the current financial year, reported the chairman of the 2B District Roads Council and District Commissioner of Works, Mr N. C. McLeod, to the cotmcil meeting at Raglan on Thursday. Fabrication of the steel arches for the bridge was nearing completion, and tenders had been called for site erection and the construction of the bridge superstructure.
