GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS SECOND QUALIFYING ROUND LAST WEEKEND

Pearse 90, C, Leech 91, D. Blue 92, J. 31. Hurrell 92, E. ,T. Ryan 94, S. Columb 96, G. Fraser 96. Junior : J. Watson 95, C. Colson 96, H. Hulten 98, G. West 99, J, Barber 102, G. G. Potts 110, I. Cresswell 118. The Saturday afternoon medal, run in conjunction. was won by R. G. Tappenden with an excellent card of 80-10-70. Reg is always at home on the Taupo course, and admits that conditioiis here are a pleasant change from tlie muddy courses of Auckland. The ladies club contested an L.G.U. medal last 'week.
