"POSTMASTER'S POT" TO P.O. MAN

Last Saturday saw a comxietitive field turn out to contest a stableford competition for the "Bostmaster's Pot." donated by the postmaster, Mr L. F. W. Holdsworth. Appropriately enough it was won by Noel Williams, who returned a card of 36 iioints, earning liimsejf a handicap reduction. Noel is an ex-member of tlie Taupo Post Office staff, who has been transferred to Murupara, but who still retains his membership with the club, and plays regularly. Ilis card was ari excellent effort. as all players had to contend with a high and very cold wind. Last Thursday the ladies' club also played a stableford, which was won by Mrs Neale with a card of 33 points. Other scores were: Mrs Foote 31, Mrs Watson 28, Mrs Douglas 27. Mrs Bennett 27, Mrs Colbeck 27.
