INTER-SCHOOL SPORTS MATCHES
Last week the post-primary department of Taupo school was engaged in inter-school sports matches at home and Tokoroa. At Taupo the local school beat Tokaanu at Rugby by 15 points to six, but in the two basketball matches, the honours were shared — Taupo A beat Tokaanu by 18 points to 14, and Taupo D six went down to Tokaanu 21. Four teams went to Tokoroa. Results were as follows : Rugby : Taupo second 15 lost to Tokoroa first 15 by 11 points to three, and Taupo third 15 beat Tokoroa second 15 by nine points to five. Basketball : Taupo B 16 Tokoroa A six, Taupo C seven Tokoroa B 12.
