TIMES TO HAVE NEW LOOK, BIGGER PAGES
THE TIMES is to have a eompletely new look — what the printing trade ealls a ehange in format as from Thursday, July 25. There will be two more columns to each page, and the columns themselves will be three inches deeper. In future the Times will be published on Thursday instead of Friday as hithrto, arid will reach Taupo at 3.30 p.m. instead of 4.30 p.m. as it does now. This means that the Times will be on sale at bookshops and stores much earlier than previously. To bring that about, production has been switched from East Waikato Publishers, Limited, plant at Morrinsville to their plant at Putaruru.
The directors of the Times wish to express their thanks to the technical and editorial staffs at Morrinsville for the skill and co-operation with which they overcame many difficulties during the formative period of this newspaper. The switch of production to Putaruru means that the Times will be able to offer both readers and advertisers a greatly improved service. D^adlines have been put back 24 hours, and elassiifiled advertisemeuts may now be received at Taupo up to 10 a.m. on Wednesdays, and display advertisements np to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays. As Taupo is developing, so is the Times, the circulation of which is now close to the 1500 mark.
