COMING OF AGE PARTY

A coming of age party in honour of Miss Pauerau Maniapoto, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Tai Maniapoto (Waitahanui), held in the Kuiwai Hall, Waipahihi, on Saturday evening, January 21, was the gay scene of one of the largest social gatherings to be held in the district, the guests inclnding visitors from many parts of the North Island. ^ Mr Maniapoto, on behalf of his daughter, thanked those present for their good wishes. There was a large display of presents, and congratulatory telegrams from friends, including one from the Hon. D. J. Eyre. Following supper, dancing was the order of the evening, music being supplied by Bill Dolman's orchestra.
