COMPLAINTS RE DUSTY ROADS AND ABSENCE OF FOOTPATHS
In a letter to the Borough Council read at the meeting held on January 18, Miss B. M. Bolton, Public Health Nurse, Taupo, enquired if there was any likelihood of Tuwharetoa Street being tar-sealed in the near future. Miss Bolton pointed out that? the Plunket Clinic was held at her cottage weekly, and said that she had received many complaints from mothers who had suffered much inconvenience from the dust. They would, stated the letter, understand that pushing a heavy pram on the roads was no easy task, and the absence of a footpoth, when managing a pram and pre-scliool children, made it a hazardous procedure. It would be greatly appreciated if early consideration were given to the matter. On the motion of Cr Swan, seconded by Cr Stanley, it was decided to advise Miss Bolton that the matter would be considered when tbe Council's next sealing programme was being prepared.
