A progressive pairs tournament was held by the Taupo Bowling Club on New Year's Day, when the winning skip was Mr J. M. Stanley, with four wins, and the winning lead Mr V. The following are results of Club competition games played over the holidays: Junior Singles: W. Rewa 24 v. H. Morrison 12; Simpson 19 v. W. Rewa 13. Open Singles: J. McBeth 19 v. F.
