PUBLICITY FOR WAITOMO AND TE KUITI
Taupo and Rotorua are not the only towns in which the matter of publicity for tourist and holiday attractions is being brought to the fore at the present time. An ambitious and fully illustrated brochure, sponsored by the Te Kuiti Chamber of Commerce, is to be published at the end of this month. The brochure has been made possible by donations from a number of bodies, including the Te Kuiti Borough Council, Waitomo County Council and Waitomo Power Board, and is designed to illustrate the attractions and demonstrate the progress of the Waitomo County area and the town of Te Kuiti. Business interests are being asked to co-operate in the project by sponsoring specific pages, the charge for sponsorship being £4 4s a page. No formal advertisements will be i included in the brochure, the appeal of which depends upon the outstanding photographic studies, supported by explanatory matter designed to bring home its message. With the contributions received and the sponsorship of pages, it will be retailed at a moderate cost.
