BOWLING NOTES
Games played on the Taupo Bowling Club's green on Sunday, November 13, resulted as follows: — Wells, Barber, Clark and Stanley (skip) 20 v. McBeth, Logan. Morris and McGreevy (skip) 12; Simpson, Walker, Attwood and Pennycook 20 v. Banks, Crickett, McLean and A. Smith 13; Bostock, Mahanga and Baumberg 19 v. Prosser, Howie and McMill'an 18; E. M. Smith, Dallington and Fulljames 21 v. McMillan, Tierney and Elliott 19.. The water spray equipment procurred by the Club for watering the green has now been installed and should do much to improve and mahitahi the sward. Water pumped from the Lake is fed to two lines of aluminium pipe, supported on metal trestles, which have spray points set fifteen feet apart. These spray lines are very light and are easilv set up and connected to the permanent main supply line. One line only was in action last weekend, but when the second line is fitted it is anticipated that the whole green will be watered with one setting of the two lines.
