DEATH OF FORMER TURANGI MAN
The death of Mr W. J. (Jack) England, at Rotorua on Wednesday, October 19, removed from the angling community a figure well-known and highly-regarded. Mr England was originally employed as a builder at the Hutt, and was always a keen ffsherman. When he was struck with a form of paralysis and had to give up his trade, he entered into partnership with Mr J. Frost, on the banks of the Tongariro River, Turangi, in the fishing tackle and fly-tying business. Later he moved to Rotorua for medical reasons and engaged in a mail-order business, although for the last two i years he had been confined to a wheel-chair. He opened a sports goods shop in Rotorua about six months ago. In spite of his disability Mr England used to go fishing and enjoyed his full share of success. He died at the age of 45, and is survived by his widow and one daug'-^r. \
