40-Hour Week
A member of a Russian farm delegation visiting California asked a factory foreman how many hours the workers put in weokly and was amazed to hear about the 40-hour week. He pointed out that Soviet workers stayed on the job 70 hours. Replied the foreman : "You'd never get this crew to work 70 hours. They re a lumch of Commies."
