NEW GIFT CHEQUE SCHEME
A cheque service new to banking in New Zealand announced bv the Bank of New South Wales is now in operation, under which specially printed "gift cheques" inay be obtained from any branch of the Bank. A gift cheque is a specially printed form signed by the .purchaser and made out for any amount for which lie provides. It is combined with a suitable greeting card, designed by a leading arlisf, and printed in full coloui'S. Four types of cheques will be available appropriate for weddings, birthdays, Ghi'istmas and general occasions. rLhe wedding, Ghristmas and birtliflay cheques can-y paintings of Anstralian and New Zealand wild i liowers and trees. while aboriginal motifs and a Maori tiki decorate Ihe "general pui'poses" cheque.
